Anna Walton, MD

pronouns: she/her

Anna Walton grew up in South Carolina which is where she completed undergraduate and graduate degrees all while also working as a survivor advocate at a rape crisis center and as program coordinator at an outreach program for breast and cervical cancer prevention among underserved Latinas. She moved to Seattle in 2012 for medical school because she identified with the school’s mission to advocate for social justice. In medical school, she received three additional certificates of training in caring for underserved and Latina communities, as well as in global health, and completed a research project studying team-based management of obstetric emergencies in Guatemala. She fell in love with the Pacific Northwest so stayed for residency and has now made it her home. She has been with Seattle OB/GYN Group since September 2020 and finds it so rewarding to provide full-spectrum, inclusive, patient-centered OBGYN care across the lifespan. In her free time, Dr. Walton enjoys spending time with her husband Steve and snuggling with their rescue cat/fur-baby Zula, traveling, getting out into the mountains, kayaking, biking, running, checking out new bands, and tasting all the yummy food Seattle has to offer.

“Dr. Anna Walton was on call when I was in labor. From the first minute of meeting her, my goal was to deliver the baby while she was on call. She was very kind, polite, supportive, and professional. She helped and encouraged me a lot during the whole labor process. She was great and descriptive in explaining how and when to push. She took care of me like a mom. She seemed like she believed in me even more than I did in myself. Best labor experience I could have wished for. Also, she was extremely helpful in resolving my postpartum issue over the phone two weeks after delivery. P.S.: Dr. Walton, thanks for being such a sweetheart. It was quite difficult not to hug you :)”
